UI / UX Designer Fulltime
What do we expect from you as a UI / UX designer?

You tell your mother your job is to make software as usable as possible. Just like that.

In your day-to-day reality, as a designer you are at the core of every project. You will be involved in the kick-off meeting together with the client, when we determine the objective of the project. Thereafter you’ll start working with wireframes, mood boards and prototyping tools (Bingo!) in close collaboration with your colleagues.

The focus of your work is converting wireframes into a beautiful interface. You determine the style and appearance of the digital product, while placing the right accents that further increase the user-friendliness of the interface.

During the development of the project you are closely involved in the implementation as well. You answer questions from the development team and adjust or improve where necessary.

In concrete terms:
You are passionate about UX and UI and you know the difference between them. Other 2-letter words in your vocabulary are also welcome. You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in digital product design. You can submit a portfolio of relevant projects. We would like to see some of your previous work, and how proud you are of it. You can present your ideas visually and verbally in Dutch and English. You can easily use design tools (Sketch, Photoshop, ...) and prototyping tools. You have sufficient knowledge of front-end development to understand the impact of your design choices.
In addition, but also important:
You can easily empathize with the issues of our target audience. You like to work in a team and you have an open mind. You are curious by nature and you are aware of the latest trends. Textbook early adopter. You have a mental picture of the future of digital product design. You want to work in an environment where you can make the difference with your creativity.
And what can you expect from us?
We offer you a contract of indefinite duration (40h work week). This includes 20 (+12 adv) days of holiday leave per year, and a market-based remuneration. Other fringe benefits include phone + contract, meal vouchers, fruit, drinks, and much more. Colleagues that are as driven as you are, an environment in which you learn, work with top notch material and quality coffee. Or tea, we won’t judge. The freedom to organize your work. Flexible hours and the possibility to work from home are part of that philosophy. Loving your job is great, being able to go home in time is better. You will have the opportunity to further develop your interests and talents, both within Aaltra as with specialized training through a personal training budget.
Sounds great?
